Basic Settings

Mail Server Username: email+blacktoppstudios.com
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) secure54.inmotionhosting.com port 995
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) secure54.inmotionhosting.com (server requires authentication) port 465
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

Unsupported Mail settings

These settings do technically work, however they are not encrypted and should be avoided where possible.
Unsupported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, IMAP
Unsupported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP
Unsupported Mail Server: mail.blacktoppstudios.com

To Setup in Gmail with BTS email

1. Login into your gmail account.
2. Click “Settings” in the upper right corner.
3. Click the “Accounts and Import” Link/Tab.
4. Click the “Add Pop3 email Account” Button in the middle of the page.
5. Enter your email address in the space provided.
6. Click the “Next Step >>” Button.
7. You need to fill some information:
   • Username: name+blacktoppstudios.com
   • Password: YourPassword
   • Mail Server: secure54.inmotionhosting.com
   • Port: 995
8. Check the box “Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.” (The others are optional, and you can enable at you convenience.)
9. Then click the “Next Step >>”.

   This is the stage where you will first run into issues, if you do, contact Joe Toppi/Sqeaky he will help you work through them. Try to figure out as much as possible before contacting him.

10. Sometimes Gmail will ask if you actually own the address, then it will send a confirmation code to that email address. If it asks, you can use the internal webmail (but it is generally not as nice as Gmail or any mail client really).
11. If you want to also be able to send from this email account using gmail then click the “Next Step >>”.
12. This screen is asking for your name, how others will see, to use with your email, Enter whatever you please here.
13. Then click the “Next Step >>”.
14. On this screen select “Send through blacktoppstudios.com SMTP servers (recommended for professional domains – Learn more)” because the other option won’t work.
15. Then some configuration options will appear, fill them out like before:
    • SMTP server: secure54.inmotionhosting.com
    • SMTP Port: 465
    • Username: name+blacktoppstudios.com
    • Password: YourPassword
16. Check the box: “Always use a secure connection (SSL) when sending mail”.
17. Then click the “Next Step >>”.
18. Now it will definitely send you a confirmation code. When it does, you can use the internal webmail.
